Why Jason Ritter Finds Melanie Lynskey’s Success “So Satisfying”

“It was so much fun to film, I can say that,” the Parenthood alum revealed. “I heard so many stories about some of the crew members that Melanie loves and I only ever met her fellow castmates. So, it was nice to actually be there and meet people, person to person, and go, ‘Oh my gosh, Melanie loves you.'”

And Jason admitted that in working on the Showtime thriller, he was excited to finally have some inside scoop. As he put it, “It was a real thrill and, as a fan of the show, it did feel exciting to get to read even just an episode as Melanie won’t tell me anything.”

One person who won’t be checking out Jason’s upcoming appearance on Melanie’s series? Their 4-year-old daughter. However, that’s not to say she isn’t at least a little bit familiar with their work—in animation, that is.
