The swearing in comes a week after parliament elected Sharif to replace Imran Khan, who was removed through a no-confidence vote.

Pakistan’s new cabinet has taken their oaths in a ceremony, the state television reports.

The new cabinet, made up of allied political parties, was sworn in on Tuesday – over a week after parliament elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to replace Imran Khan.

The portfolios for the cabinet members have not yet been announced.
