Birth of a Tornado: Beggining Stage http://www.myweatherlive.com/video/18... A tornado in its beginning stages! From seemingly nothing, dust from the earth begins to form a distorted cloud, and eventually becomes a gigantic, violent swirl of debris. It all begins when rainfall drags with it an area of quick-descending air, which approaches the ground. It would appear as if a part of the cloud is extending downwards to the earth, and most people would mistake that for the tornado itself--but it's not. The quickly-descending air is what causes most of the destruction, and is the main feature of this type of weather formation. Watching a tornado form might be one of the most amazing things that you can witness.
Mercedes Tornado http://auto-news-blog.com/in-the-news/mercedes-... Oldsmobile had the Toronado. But it took Mercedes-Benz to come up with an actual tornado. And they made it into the Guinness Book of Records with it, too. Mercedes-Benz has built the world’s largest artificial tornado. (In the accompanying picture, carbon dioxide has been sprayed into the tornado to make it visible. But, whatever you do, don’t tell Al Gore they did that.) Granted, it may be a bit tangential, but the tornado does have a connection to cars. You see, it’s at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. But it wasn’t an idle engineering exercise. It is a very practical solution to a problem created by the design of the building: how do you vent out the smoke in the case of a fire so that people don’t choke to death. The tornado is the answer. Its twisting sucks in air and pulls it up and out of the building. The tornado, when operating, is 113 feet tall and moves 28 tons of air at any given moment. It is generated by 144 air jets and takes about 7 minutes to hit full fury. Gives new meaning to the phrase “wind tunnel.”
That's Bizarre! The Craziest, Uncommon Weather Phenomenon http://www.purpleslinky.com/Offbeat/Thats-Bizar... We know that our weather has the ability to wreak havoc when it decides to kick up its heels. We have heard horror stories where tornadoes and hurricanes have torn apart towns, cities, and country sides. Storms so severe that thousands have been left homeless within seconds...their water poisoned, and their lively hood destroyed.
Dust Devil http://www.myweatherlive.com/video/112... Dust devils are tornado-like formations of wind which are usually harmless and small, but the one in this video is fairly strong and taller than usual. This happened in a schoolyard in Japan where children are playing soccer. Then all of a sudden the dust devil appears that, apart from ruining their game, also sucked up a tent and threw it 30 meters across before dissipating.
Deadly Tornado In Beaver, OK http://www.myweatherlive.com/video/26/Deadly-To... A HUGE tornado! On March 28, 2007, a wedge tornado was seen in Beaver, OK. It then develops into a double vortex, and finally into a gigantic cone. For a short while there were two simultaneous tornadoes spinning! During its final stage the tornado is beautifully backlit by the setting sun, and a couple of lightning bolts shoot out of it. Unfortunately, 2 people were killed by this tornado. As well, several farm buildings were damaged, and power poles and large trees were toppled. The fatalities occurred when the tornado destroyed a single family home.

Night Tornado http://www.myweatherlive.com/video/132... Tornadoes are already a frightening on their own but this video makes them look about twice as scarier. Filmed on the night of April 21, 2007 five miles west of Wayside, Texas, this EF-1 rated tornado was completely invisible because of the darkness.
Rare Video of Great Bend, Kansas Tornado http://www.myweatherlive.com/video/119/Rare-Vid... This is one of the very few videos of the tornado that landed on Great Bend in Kansas on August 30, 1974. This is almost the exact opposite of the tornado from Mulvane: the former had a perfect shape, was white, and caused some destruction. This one is black and looks like a spinning blob, and hardly damaged anything. It received an F1 rating; however, this is because it stayed mostly on the plains and hardly damaged anything.
Eastern Fury http://www.myweatherlive.com/video/91/Eastern-F... This is a video of the worse tornadoes in the eastern part of the United States, appropriately called "Eastern Fury". The eastern US experience more tornadoes at a greater frequency than any other part of the country. Despite this fact many people still fall to nature's fury every year.
