Getting a Cross Tatoo http://classyfox.wordpress.com/... So, I’ve decided that I was going to go ahead and get myself a tatoo, a cross tatoo. I know that I’ve read somewhere about cross tatoos being a very good choice for my very 1st tatoo and hey- even religious people have them. Now all I should have to worry about is actually getting the tatoo done, right? There’s a tatoo parlor just down the street from the shop, so I figure I’ll go in and see if they can help me out. Now remember that I am more nervous about getting my first tatoo than I was about going on my first date!! A tatoo is just a bit more permanent. The first thing I see when I go in is this big guy who looks like he is a walking advertisement for tatoos. I mean there doesn’t look like there is room for any more on his entire body. At least not from what I can see. Kinda takes my mind off what I’m actually here for!Hey- appearances can be deceiving. Ted was a great guy once you got past all the ink. Anyway, I told him that I was thinking of getting a cross tatoo and could he help me out. He said sure and asked if I knew what kind of cross I wanted. Now, you have to realize, I knew that there were a few different types available, but I had no idea of how many. Ted pulled out a stack of binders for me to look through.Three hours later I knew that this was not going to be an easy decision. I had no idea that there were so many variations. Did you know that you can get celtic crosses, tribal crosses, latin crosses, greek crosses, 3 step crosses and the list goes on.I saw pictures of very simple crosses like this oneand ones that were extremely complicated like this one. Then I get informed that I could also take any of the ones there and I could personalize it! WOW. Now I really have a problem. Should I have a cross with my dog’s name? Hmmm maybe I should just put some flowers around it”¦ or hey how about my boyfriend’s name, no that’s not such a good idea - my tatoo will probably be more permanent. Hey, what about a picture of my ride”¦ naw that would be almost as bad as having Mom or Dad on it.The ideas are going through my mind now. This is not going to be as easy as I thought. Rats, so much for the idea of just walking out with a the tatoo done right now.It looks like I’m going to have to do some thinking on this. And hey- I haven’t even mentioned some of the other things that I learned. Did you know that you could get very sick if you choose the wrong tatoo parlor- just from the dirty needles and lots of other things.I’m going to go home right now and think about what I really want. I know that a cross tatoo is one of the most versatile to work with. It can be adjusted to fit anywhere on the body that you want it to, it can be combined with all kinds of things and can be as complicated or simple as you want it to be. Just think, people have been getting cross tatoos for over 5000 years. Guess maybe it is time I decided to join the over 45million North Americans who presently wear body art!
