Stagflation Then and Now ”¯“ Recounting Nixon s Price Controls - TOPIX
http://www.topix.com/denver/2008/02/stagflation...
The conventional measure of inflation is the Consumer Price Index. (C.P.I.), Richard W. Fisher of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, dissented from the Fed’s decision to lower rates by a half-point, arguing that he viewed upside risks to inflation as being greater than the downside risks to longer-term economic growth, according to the minutes.

Stagflation Then and Now - Recounting Nixon's Price Controls
http://thejunction.net/justfacts/2008/02/29/sta...
There are two very different sides to the StagFlation remedies. Lowering interest rates are to stimulate growth on the Market side (investors). Controlling inflation is definitely on the consumer side. It is being closely watched who is going to get real assistance - the consumer or Wall Street investors.

Fake News and Funny Videos
http://videoproductiontips.com/2008/10/29/fake-...
From the perspective of an old news and political junkie (me), who loves the freedom the internet gives her to do weird comedy videos, I have a confession. I just stayed up ALL NIGHT, guzzling caffeine, producing a very bad comedy video with the grandiose hope of being the next internet video sensation. I mean, come on, if a kid lighting his fart!

It’s Presidential Pardon Time or Another Opportunity for Bush to Cover-up
http://www.thelangreport.com/political-commenta...
Well, we are now approaching “presidential pardon”¯ time and considering the assinine, politically driven decisions George Bush has made to date, it should be very interesting and in some cases may border on the criminal. The American people should be deeply concerned that prior to leaving office, President Bush may issue pardons to protect high-ranking administration officials for any activities related to torture, extraordinary rendition and other abuses during the eight years of his administration.
